The Conservation Action Project (CAP) is working with the National Wildlife Federation to get cover crops on the ground. The Cover Crop Champions are local farmers who are experienced in using cover crops on their operations. We know cover crops are not a ‘cookie cutter fit’ to each operation; so, in turn, the champions would like to help you find the ‘fit’ for your operation. Our Champions have over 30 years of combined experience with cover crops and 100 years of combined experience farming. Each operation’s goals are unique, but all share a passion for water quality, soil health and profitability.
