Message from Pete Dinius, CAP President
In recent years there has been a lot of buzz about soil health, soil biology, sustainability, regenerative agriculture, or whatever word you would like to use. With many of the major food and beverage companies, universities, and social climate showing interest and investment in soil health the waters are fairly muddy when it comes to defining soil health. Since the formation of the Conservation Action Program (CAP) in the late 1980’s its mission has been to fill the gap between government programs, private businesses, and academia to enhance the quality of our natural resources for the benefit of all. We also strive to be a positive influence and promoting Northwest Ohio’s agriculture through innovative programs that will improve the quality of our soil, water resources, and maintain a competitive edge.
